Faculty Center of UP Diliman

Early this morning of April 1st, a fire broke out burning a building down to ashes. It was unlike any other April Fools day prank, only this time it was real. The Faculty Center at UP Diliman literally was on fire. And with every piece of that building down to gnawing flames, so are the many memories that thousands of UP people have lost to oblivion.

For what is it with losing that we realize its true value, Long after it’s gone we covet to hold on to it. And so of course that is now baying for the moon, A wish that echoes our hearts’ voiceless cries. At the end of a long day when all has settle down, We’ll just have to accept and let our sorrows drown.

A short poem for the Faculty Center.
