To many Filipinos, Cubao has become an iconic place. It has earned for itself quite a distinction after all, here is where most lives cross each day whether for work or for fun, Cubao offers a solace for weary metropolitans. However, just like in any other developed cities Cubao remains a schizophrenic public space. Whereas you have the poor and rich juxtaposed side by side. High rise condominiums watch over homeless beggars and peddlers. But that’s what makes Cubao an interesting space of continuous social struggle.
